I hope everyone is okay as we move forward through times of uncertainty in our lives. Covid has taken a personal toll on each of us as well as on the church. We’re receiving good counsel from our CBBA Association (a group of 71 churches from Waller to Madisonville). As many of you have become aware, President Trump yesterday announced a directive to restrict public meetings and gatherings of over 10 persons for the next 15 days.
We will do that as a church immediately suspending group meetings at least until Wednesday April 1. We may extend our time of not meeting physically further. We will see.
Having said that, I plan to continue ministering to you as much as I am able to do so as your pastor. I am available for phone calls, or in-person counseling on an as-needed basis.
Michael Nickerson is working on technological hurdles even as I write this to enable me to either send out a video or a podcast to you guys to keep you updated, encouraged, and to hopefully guide you through some pieces of scripture. Because we do not have SUPER HIGH SPEED INTERNET here in the country, our options are limited.
I want to remind you that we as believers are commanded in Romans 13 and 1 Peter 2:13 to be submissive to our governmental authorities. Although this directive of the president is not a mandate, it is a suggestion that I do not think we should ignore. Secondly, I don’t want to hear about ANY FEAR or worry among you. God is not taken by surprise by any of this. He knows our every need. Take time to focus on Him and His Word. Do your part and let God do His part.
I love you all and I will be in touch,
