Phillipians 1:9-30

Last Sunday we talked about the joy that is threaded through
every word of the book of Philippians. We reminded ourselves
that joy and happiness are not the same thing. Happiness
depends on “what happens.” Joy depends on if we have a
relationship with Jesus. We talked about the fact that we are each a “work in progress.” We
are “under construction.” God is not finished with us, but rather as we submit to the Holy
Spirit, He will continue to work in and through us until the day of Jesus Christ; until He comes
again. I encouraged the congregation to give yourselves a break because He’s not done with
you yet.
